The 2nd Annual Visual Arts Exhibit: Living Local sponsored by the Greencastle Arts Council is currently on display at the Putnam County Museum July 1–Sept. 26. Museum hours are Monday – Friday: 10 am – 4 pm; and Saturday: 10 am – 2 pm. Over 40 artists’ works are on display, all from Putnam and surrounding counties. Discover mediums such as painting, photography, woodworking, ceramics, metalworking, and more. The museum is free, but donations are appreciated. A Meet the Artist and Award Reception will be held Sunday, September 26 from 2 -4 pm. The activities are made possible in part by Arts Illiana and the Indiana Arts Commission which receives support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts. The artwork will be judged by the following artists: Johnson Simon an MFA graduate from IUPUI Herron School of Art and Design; JinMan Jo, who currently teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point; and Anna Tragesser the Artist and Community Services Manager at the Indiana Arts Commission.
